Behavior and Obedience
When many new dog owners are first faced with behavior issues with their dog. Many of them make the common mistake of thinking that what they need to do is to seek obedience training. This is often not a solution to their problem. When really the objective is to improve your cooperative relationship with your dog, Teaching your dog to obey all of your wishes on command is usually not the answer.
I have seen many small dogs who have learned to respond to many commands but are still very poorly adjusted pets.
Many exhibit common problems such as aggressive behavior, excessive barking, tearing up the apt. etc.
In order to correct these type of behaviors one must first understand what may be causing these problems. While there are many reasons why a dog may be exhibiting unwanted behaviors. Most of these issues can be corrected by achieving a respectful cooperative relationship with your dog. There are even some cases were the behaviors are caused by the owners desire to overly command and control there dog.
